Urban Sketching is a practice of making on-location drawing. Learn to see the city with the eyes of an explorer discovering new territory – rediscovering our city through the act of drawing.”
This workshop is designed for participants with intermediate or advanced drawing skills.
Wondering about your level? If you have had basic drawing you will be fine. This class isn’t really designed to be a basic ‘how to draw’ from ground up per se, but drawing instruction comes into play throughout with demos and working one on one while out on location. You will learn about drawing and water media techniques, materials, composition etc. and get experience/gain confidence under a patient and generous teachers guidance.
Materials list: Specific list of materials will be sent to registrants. Expect to bring a few basic tubes of watercolor, 2 watercolor brushes, watercolor sketchbook, a few simple drawing supplies
First session meets at Wet Paint, otherwise on indoor location due to cold weather. Exact locations and coordination will be discussed at the first session.
